Please join us for a 2.5 hour free open house at Safe Day Martial Arts Academy! We will be demonstrating and teaching Mixed Martial Arts. We will be covering American Boxing, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Don't be intimidated if you have no experience. That is what this event is all about. We want you to experience our expertise and our style of teaching and training. We know you'll come in and love it. We do much more than other "vanilla MMA" schools. MMA stands for Mixed Martial Arts. We are highly ranked in Multi-disciplines. This is the real deal! In addition to MMA, we teach effective joint lock and pressure point manipulation. We teach stick fighting, edged weapons, weapon retention, etc. We have trained law enforcement, military, etc. Please join us. We have very reasonable monthly rates and train 3 times a week! Sometimes 4. We also do many seminars with some of the best BJJ practicioners in the world. We look forward to seeing you. Mike is a 2nd Dan; Universal Kenpo, 2nd Dan; Okinawan Karate, 2nd Dan; Hon Hab Do. Mike studies and teaches Small Circle Jiu-Jitsu, Ryu Kyu Kempo, Modern Arnis, Muay Thai, Hon Hab Do, private classes, public and private seminars and other high level weapon techniques. Mike completed Lethal Force Institute Leve 1 (taught one on one privately!) and is a lethal weapons agent, act 235 in the state of PA. Mike has also been inducted into the WKU Hall of Fame, and was voted Instructor of the year in MMA and Hon Hab Do for 2008. You will be trained properly. Thank you in advance for coming!

The world is changing everyday. It's not the relaxed, safe place we once new when we were children. There are many people that refuse to take responsibility for their own actions. This effects us all, especially our personal safety. As a result personal morality and ethics are lacking in our world today. These days it is wise to understand your surroundings, have better awareness and be able to defend yourself if needed. Those who say, "it always happens to someone else, never me!" may regret those words if and when a tragedy strikes. Having the confidence to face our new culture is important for a happy and healthy life.
Mike has put together a comprehensive program that teaches theory,
dynamics and techniques for women's self-defense.
This seminar covers home invasion, car invasion, and all scenarios related to defending yourself properly against an assailant. Mr. Mike teaches street proven self-defense techniques. You will learn awareness drills and tips to keep you out of trouble. The seminar covers many different self-defense techniques that are necessary to know in today's world!
There will also be a discussion on defending yourself and having the confidence to do so. Learn simple effective techniques that you can practice at home. Don't miss this!

Tournament will use International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Rules. Event will feature black belt referees and several Super Fights! You may also register and stay for the WKUHOF dinner Saturday evening. The dinner is a Formal Awards dinner honoring past and present WKUHOF Inductees. It is a wonderful event. Banquet tickets are $75 in advance.
